Project - A French Australia? Almost!

Researched and written by Noelene Bloomfield from UWA's French Department and produced by the Multimedia Centre, A French Australia? Almost! is a CD-Rom in both French and English that looks at the origins of the French names found along the Australian coastline. There have been a number of versions of this CD-Rom, the latest being released in 2004.

Produced using DHTML, the CD-Rom is divided into seven main sections:

• Introduction
• Places
• People
• Expeditions
• Maps
• Additional Media
• References

All of these sections feature links to related areas, so that students can explore for themselves the fascinating history of French exploration activities in Australia.
